3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth 984F features Precision Shaped Grain on a YF weight backing. Our high performing belt contains a grinding aid, making it useful for medium to high pressure applications on stainless steel, carbon steel, cobalt chrome and nickel alloys. Custom sizes are available.

Use 3M™ Cubitron™ II Cloth 984F featuring Precision Shaped Grain, which gives an extremely fast cut with less heat build-up – reducing heat related stress cracks and discolouration. Our 984F belt has a YF weight backing which provides increased durability in medium to high pressure applications. Custom sizes are available. Precision Shaped Grain forms into triangular points that slice through metal rather than gouging or ploughing like traditional abrasives. These points continuously self-sharpen as they fracture, generating an extremely fast cut – making this belt ideal for industrial environments. The abrasive is heat resistant, produces a uniform finish over its life and helps eliminate burning during end-grain sanding applications. The YF-weight cloth backing provides durability and has the mineral resin bonded to it for reliable performance, even under high heat and pressure. This belt contains a grinding aid, which helps reduce running temperatures – protecting heat sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys.
